About Us

Intelligent Worming is a trading name for Equine, Pets and Livestock Animalcare Ltd. The service was developed in 1999 and was launched at the National Stud Fair at Newmarket in July 1999. It was developed in response to the shortcomings of the traditional interval chemical worming program and the more complex parasite control program required to combat internal parasites in equines today.

Intelligent Worming is still the only service available that designs each parasite control program uniquely for every equine and client. Every horse has a different natural immune system and therefore each one will cope with the same parasite infection in a different way. Intelligent Worming assesses this and ensure each equine has the correct prescription and quantity of chemical wormers required. It uses diagnostic techniques such as risk assessment procedures, faecal egg counts and expert knowledge to ensure that the reduction of chemical wormers occurs in a safe way.
